My mom is an amazing violin teacher, because she’s struggled with the violin all her life AND has been dedicated to always continuing to learn and improve her playing. She’s made it into orchestras, but what really qualifies her to be a teacher is the struggles she went through along the way (and the fact that she never fully transcended them). That’s HOW she knows how to help others find their way, because she understands what it’s like to feel lost.
